there is music there can be no evil

The Crescendo con la Musica Foundation was created in 2012 in Lausanne by Jorge Viladoms, professional musician with an international career and piano teacher at the Lausanne Conservatory. His Mexican origin has made him highly sensitive to the conditions of children and young people living precariously.
Our mission is to provide access to music for disadvantaged children, offering them the possibility to receive quality musical training in their home country or in Switzerland, thus contributing to the personal development they need in order to take control of and change the perspective of their future.
Abroad, we work to achieve this goal by supporting existing educational institutions for children up to the age of fifteen. Our vision is to use the individual potential of children to supervise and accompany them with musical training throughout their schooling.
In Switzerland we support the training and artistic development of young musicians by granting scholarships or organizing educational exchanges.
The Foundation is able to fund its actions thanks to the generous sponsors and donors that support us, and by organizing music and dance galas featuring internationally renowned artists.
In November 2013, the Luz de Luna Gala, specially created for the Crescendo con la Musica Foundation, was presented at Carnegie Hall in New York. With Jorge Viladoms on the piano and Charlie Siem on the violin, Hervé Moreau, danseur étoile of the Paris Opera, executed a choreography created by Benjamin Millepied and Jiří Bubeníček.
In June 2015, a Gala was organized at the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices in Geneva, featuring Isabella Ciarvola and Hervé Moreau, danseurs étoiles of the Paris Opera, as well as Gautier Capuçon on the cello and Jorge Viladoms on the piano.
In June 2016, the Foundation returned to the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices in Geneva, this time for a Gala featuring soprano Natalie Dessay, pianist Philippe Cassard and Paris Opera dancers Aurélie Dupont, danseuse étoile and Director of the Opera, and Alessio Carbone, premier danseur.
The Foundation Board is made up entirely of volunteers (sessions, concert organization, administration and accounting, search for sponsors, etc.). This allows us to use the collected funds exclusively to finance our educational projects.
The Foundation is controlled by the Federal Supervision of Foundations in Berne, to which we submit the annual accounts reviewed by our Swiss Trustee. Donations to the Foundation can be fully deducted thanks to the tax exemption we have been granted.
